Talent Scout 2025, the two-day cultural fest of St. Francis College held on 16th and 17th October 2025, was a vibrant celebration of student talent, creativity, and expression. 

Heritage Visit Organized for M.Com students

The M.Com Department organized a heritage visit to Bangalore Palace on 5th December 2025 to provide students with cultural exposure and insights into heritage management. Students explored the palace’s architecture, history, tourism management, and preservation practices, gaining a deeper understanding of cultural heritage, tourism, and its economic significance.

3-day educational trip to Kodagu

The Department of Languages, St. Francis College, organized a 3-day educational trip to Kodagu from 4–6 December 2025. With 40 students and 5 faculty members, the trip covered Kushalnagar, Dubare Elephant Camp, Madikeri, and Mugilpete, offering a blend of learning, cultural exposure, and exploration.

Decathlon Field visit

The M.Com Department organized a field visit to Decathlon on 4th December 2025 to provide students with practical exposure to retail operations, merchandising, and customer service practices. The visit enhanced students’ understanding of retail management and industry applications.

The Department of BVA organized an industrial visit to the ABAI AVGC Center of Excellence on 28/11/2025 to provide students with practical exposure to the AVGC industry and real-time animation and digital media workflows.

A State Level Poetry Writing Competition was organized on 12 November 2025 at the College Quadrangle by the Department of Kannada and Chinnudi Kannada Sangha. The Karnataka Rajyotsava Celebration – Veshabhushana Sparde (Fancy Dress Competition) was held on 12 November 2025 at the College Quadrangle, organized by the Department of Kannada and Chinnudi Kannada Sangha. The event celebrated Karnataka’s rich culture and heritage, with students creatively portraying famous personalities and traditional figures through vibrant costumes and performances.

The Business Quiz was held on 11 November 2025 at 1:15 PM in the 4th Floor Seminar Hall to enhance students’ knowledge of business concepts and analytical skills. The event included Online Quiz, Crossword Puzzle, and the final round Kaun Banega Businesspati, providing an engaging and competitive learning experience. The programme promoted teamwork, business awareness, and confidence among students through an interactive quiz format.

60 Second Hustle

The 60 Second Hustle – Minute to Sell It event was held on 13/10/2025 with the objective of enhancing students’ communication, persuasion, and critical thinking skills through a time-bound selling challenge. The event bridged the gap between theoretical marketing concepts and practical application by engaging students in real-time selling scenarios.

Documentary Screening and Interactive Guest Lecture on the Life and Achievements of Rev. Ferdinand Kittel

On 13 October 2025, the Department of Kannada at St. Francis Degree College organized a documentary screening and interactive guest lecture on the life of Rev. Ferdinand Kittel. Featuring filmmaker Prashanth Pandit, the event included an engaging documentary and discussion session. With around 300 students in attendance, the program was successfully conducted and proved to be informative and enriching.

The BVA Department/VIBGYOR Club organized “SquadWars”, a Free Fire Tournament on 30/09/2025, with 20 teams participating, creating an exciting and competitive gaming atmosphere among students. 

RAJYOTHSAVADA MAHATVA

An essay writing competition on “Rajyothsava Mahatva” was held at St. Francis College on 29 September 2025 as part of Kannada Rajyothsava celebrations. With 44 enthusiastic participants, the event was successfully conducted under the guidance of faculty and coordinators, encouraging students’ literary skills and cultural awareness.

The Unicorn Squad 2025–26 Investiture Ceremony was held on 26 September 2025 at St. Francis PU College Auditorium to formally induct new student leaders. The event included badge pinning, oath-taking, and inspiring addresses, marking the beginning of a new year of leadership and student activities.

Team Building Activity conducted M.Com

A team-building activity was conducted on 25th September 2025 for 8 M.Com students to strengthen collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. The activity focused on improving coordination, trust, leadership, and teamwork through active participation and problem-solving exercises. The program helped students become more confident, cooperative, and motivated, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.

A team-building activity was organized on 25th September 2025 for 8 M.Com students to enhance collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. The activity focused on building trust, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving abilities through interactive participation. On October 24th, 2025, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Muses Club, successfully organized a verse voyage competition. The competition took place in First Floor Room No. 103 on the college campus from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The seminar “Strategies for a Healthy Mindset”, held on 14th May 2025 and organized by Ms. Soujanya Jairaj, focused on promoting mental well-being among students by highlighting the importance of self-awareness, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and positive coping strategies. The session provided practical techniques to manage stress, build resilience, and maintain a balanced and healthy mindset.

VERSE VOYAGE 3.0- A POETRY WRITING COMPETITION

On the 13th of May, 2025, the Department of English-MUSES club, St. Francis College, organized a poetry writing competition for all the UG students.  The name of the event was “Verse Voyage 3.0” and it is the third cycle of poetry competition held by the Muses club. The event coordinator was Ms. Annu Sara Jose and the event was held in room 103 from 2:30 pm onwards.

Museum of Art and Photography organized a workshop and exhibition on Kalamkari, where participants learned about its history, motifs, and traditional dyeing techniques through an interactive session.

A session on Open LLM Hackathon was organized by the BCA Department and held in the 4th Floor Seminar Hall of the college.
