Bridging Campus and Corporate Gap – Alumni Talk on Career & Tech Trends Organised by Dept of MCA

The Department of MCA at St. Francis College, Bengaluru, under an IQAC initiative, successfully organized the Alumni Talk on Career & Tech Trends on Saturday, 21 February 2026, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon at the 4th Floor Seminar Hall. The event aimed to bridge the gap between campus learning and corporate expectations by providing students with practical industry insights and career guidance.

The program was smoothly anchored by Sumalatha N as the Master of Ceremony. The event began with a Prayer Song by Lakshmi G & Co, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Tulsi K G. Lakshmi G introduced the distinguished alumni speakers, highlighting their professional achievements and inspiring journeys. The alumni were felicitated by Dr. Nazura Javed, Head of the Department of MCA, and Mr. C. Krishnan, Assistant Professor, Department of MCA, in recognition of their accomplishments and contribution to the institution.

The highlight of the event was the insightful talk session by Mohammed Fahad Ahmed and Mohammed Shuheb, successful Full Stack Software Developers based in Bengaluru. They shared their career journeys, discussed current industry expectations, emerging technology trends, and provided valuable advice on skill development, corporate culture, and interview preparation. Their practical guidance and real-world experiences greatly benefited the students.

The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Aishwarya M, expressing gratitude to the speakers, faculty members, and participants.
