Short Film Review Writing Competition Organized By Department of Journalism & The Gazette Club

The Department of Journalism and The Gazette Club organised a Short Film Review Writing Competition on 6th August 2026 in Room No. 603. The competition aimed to develop students’ critical thinking, observation, analytical, and creative writing skills through cinema.

As part of the activity, students watched the Oscar-winning short film Alike and analysed its storyline, characters, themes, visual elements, emotions, and social message. They then wrote individual reviews, expressing their perspectives and critically evaluating the film.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and provided students with a valuable opportunity to combine film appreciation with creative and analytical writing.
