The site visit began with a brief introduction to the fundamental components of building services and their importance in creating comfortable, safe, and functional interior environments. The students were introduced to various interior services such as plumbing, lighting, electrical systems, HVAC, and their role in efficient building performance. This initial briefing helped students understand how these services are integrated into interior design projects.Following the introduction, students were guided through different areas of the campus to observe real-time applications of plumbing layouts, lighting systems, and HVAC installations. Special attention was given to the working process of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), where students learned about sustainable water management practices, wastewater treatment, and water reuse systems implemented within the campus.During the walkthrough, students closely observed and analyzed the placement of ducts, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, cable trays, and piping systems. Faculty members encouraged interactive discussions, helping students relate these observations to theoretical concepts studied in the classroom. This hands-on learning approach enhanced students’ understanding of service coordination, spatial planning, and technical integration in interior design projects. Overall, the visit provided valuable practical exposure and strengthened the students’ ability to connect academic knowledge with real-world applications.
