Yuva Panel discussion - If’s, But’s and In-betweens of Entrepreneurship

The Department of Training & Placements, in association with the III Committee (CII Young Indians – Yi!), organized a Panel Discussion on Entrepreneurship, Leadership and the Future of Work for 105 final-year PG students. The session featured distinguished industry experts Mr. Sunil Nama, Director of Business Development, Kalyani Polymers Pvt. Ltd. and Founder, Fibercrete, and Mr. Chowdappa K.V., Systems Engineering Expert, as the resource persons. The discussion was designed to expose students to the practical realities of entrepreneurship by providing valuable insights into career choices, business challenges, decision-making, and the competencies required to succeed in today's dynamic professional environment.

The discussion revolved around three key themes: Early Career Choices, Skills, Growth and Leadership, and The Future of Work. The panelists shared their professional experiences and emphasized the importance of continuous skill development, effective leadership, conflict management, adaptability, and lifelong learning. Students gained a deeper understanding of the qualities that define successful leaders and the significance of developing future-ready competencies to meet evolving industry demands.

The session also focused on emerging workplace trends, including the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and changing employer expectations. Mr. Sunil Nama shared valuable entrepreneurial insights, drawing from his experience in business development and founding Fibercrete, while Mr. Chowdappa K.V. highlighted the importance of systems thinking, engineering expertise, and technological adaptability in today's workforce. Together, the panelists offered practical perspectives on managing career expectations after graduation, learning from early professional experiences, overcoming workplace challenges, and making informed career decisions. Through an engaging and interactive discussion, students had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and receive valuable career guidance directly from experienced industry leaders.

The panel discussion concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session that encouraged students to reflect on their career aspirations and prepare themselves for the rapidly evolving professional landscape. The event enhanced students' awareness of entrepreneurship, leadership, and future workplace trends while strengthening their confidence, professional outlook, and overall career readiness
