The Department of Languages organized a two-day educational trip titled “Nature Connect: Learning Beyond the Classroom” from 1st to 2nd December 2025 for the first- and second-year students of all courses. Students assembled at the college premises at 9:00 PM and began their journey toward Coorg and nearby regions. The purpose of this trip was to offer experiential learning opportunities that connect theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world experiences. The trip focused on key objectives such as enhancing critical thinking, fostering environmental and cultural awareness, promoting teamwork and communication, and encouraging curiosity and adaptability among students. By visiting natural, historical, and cultural sites, students were expected to deepen their understanding of classroom concepts through direct observation. During the visit, students explored various significant locations including Dubarey Forest, where they learned about wildlife and biodiversity; Tala Kaveri and Bhagamandala, which provided insights into cultural heritage; and Raja Seat, Abbey Falls, and Nisargadhama, which highlighted the beauty of natural landscapes and conservation efforts. The visit to the Golden Temple further enriched their understanding of multicultural harmony and architectural significance. Throughout the trip, students enthusiastically participated in discussions, observations, and group activities, demonstrating a keen interest in the diverse learning experiences offered. The trip resulted in meaningful learning outcomes, including improved critical thinking, increased environmental and cultural awareness, and enhanced teamwork skills. Students were able to connect academic knowledge with real-life contexts, making learning engaging, memorable, and impactful. In conclusion, the educational trip was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Prachi Tripathi, Dr. Santhosh and Dr. Lathif B fulfilling its objectives and providing students with valuable experiential learning beyond the classroom.
