Guest lecture on building a personal brand for career success

 

The Department of Management successfully conducted a guest lecture on Personal Branding for Career Success with the objective of sensitizing students to the growing importance of building a strong professional identity in today’s competitive job market. The session was designed to equip students with practical strategies to identify, communicate, and project their unique value to prospective employers while aligning personal strengths with industry expectations.

The event commenced in the presence of the event coordinators. The resource person began by briefly outlining the scope of the session and the key themes to be covered. She emphasized self-awareness as the foundation of personal branding and highlighted the importance of clearly articulating one’s skills, values, and aspirations. Through relatable examples, she explained how a consistent professional presence and a well-developed network can significantly influence career growth. Special emphasis was placed on the effective use of professional platforms such as LinkedIn, including profile optimization, content positioning, and strategic networking.
