Mind Innovation Hackathon: Psychology for Real-World Problems

The Mind Innovation Hackathon: Psychology for Real-World Problems was successfully conducted on 11 August 2026, providing students with an engaging platform to apply psychological knowledge, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork to real-world challenges.

The event was emceed by Meghana and Vedavathi, who effectively coordinated the proceedings and maintained an enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the programme. Nikhil, the Event Coordinator, played a key role in organising and coordinating the event. The programme commenced with the welcome address delivered by Zoya, President, who warmly welcomed the participants, judges, faculty members, and audience. Sahana, Joint Secretary, introduced the judges by presenting their professional profiles and backgrounds, adding significance to the evaluation process.

The hackathon was conducted through multiple competitive rounds, beginning with a preliminary round, followed by the main rounds. A total of 30 groups participated enthusiastically in the competition. Through successive rounds, participants presented their ideas, demonstrated innovative thinking, and addressed psychology-based real-world problems. The competition became increasingly challenging, and by the end of the third round, five groups were shortlisted as finalists based on their performance and innovative solutions.

The winning teams were recognised and rewarded with an exciting cash prize for their outstanding performance. Haleema, Vice President, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the judges, organisers, participants, faculty members, and everyone who contributed to the successful execution of the event.

The event successfully encouraged innovation, critical thinking, collaboration, and the practical application of psychology to real-world problems.
