Aprathima Mukaveene Kalapradarshana Program

The Department of Kannada at St. Francis Degree College organized an “Aprathima Mukaveene Kalapradarshana Program” on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, under the coordination of Dr. Jagadeesh Babu B.V., Associate Professor of Kannada. The program was presided over by the Director of the college, Dr . Rev. Brother Titus Anto, who conveyed his best wishes. The Principal, Dr. R. N. Subbarao, was also present and expressed his goodwill on the occasion.

The highlight of the event was the performance by the distinguished artist Shri Mukaveena Anjinappa, a renowned exponent of Karnataka folk traditions and a recipient of t Rajyotsava and Karnataka Janapada Sarwabhoma Award . He Performed various forms of Veena renditions, captivating the audience with his extraordinary “Jalaveena” performance, which left the students thoroughly enthralled.

The event witnessed active participation from the Head of the Kannada Department, Dr. Santosh Kumar R. M., along with all faculty members of the department of Kannada. MS Prakruthi president of Chinnudi Kannada Sangha was the emcee for the program With the support and cooperation of the office bearers of Chinnudi Kannada Sangha, the program was successfully conducted. Approximately 400 students attended the event and greatly benefited from this enriching cultural experience.

It is a matter of great pride that leading Kannada daily newspapers such as Prajavani, Vishwavani, Kannada Prabha, Vijaya Karnataka, Udayavani, and E Sanje published reports of the program along with photographs. The successful execution of this event, with collective efforts, has set a historic milestone for both the college and the Department of Kannada, marking it as a significant and memorable occasion. Harish vice President of Chinnudi Kannada Sangha delivered the vote of thanks for the Program.
