TEMPLE STUDY VISIT

The Department of BVA organized a Temple Field Study Visit on 07th November 2025for BVA students to enhance learning in sculpture study, art appreciation, andart history. The visit aimed to provide real-time exposure to sculpturaltechniques, iconography, and stylistic developments in Indian temple architectureby linking classroom theory with field observation. Conducted from 6:00 am to3:30 pm, students documented temple sculptures through observation, sketching,and photography under faculty guidance. They studied carvings, motifs, pillars,ceilings, and gopuram structures, while identifying stylistic periods andmythological themes. The visit significantly enriched students’ artisticunderstanding, analytical skills, and visual sensitivity. The objectives weresuccessfully achieved, and sincere thanks were extended to the students for theiractive and disciplined participation.
