Airport Simulation

The Department organized an Airport Simulation Activity on 14th August 2025 to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of airport security and basic inflight safety procedures. The session aimed at bridging classroom learning with real-world applications in the aviation industry.

During the activity, students were introduced to:

Basic Airport Security Procedures – Hands-on demonstrations of sHand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD), Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMD), and X-ray baggage screening systems, enabling them to understand passenger and baggage screening protocols.

Safety Demonstrations – Familiarization with essential inflight safety equipment, including life jackets and oxygen masks, along with demonstrations of their operation.

Aircraft Cabin Familiarization – A guided session inside a mock aircraft cabin where students observed practical aspects of safety equipment placement, cabin crew responsibilities, and passenger handling during safety briefings.

The interactive approach allowed students to actively engage in demonstrations, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into both airport operations and cabin crew safety protocols.
