The Strategic Plan for Investment Banking

The Department of Management organised a guest lecture titled “The Strategic Plan for Investment Banking” on 5th March 2025 at the Fourth Floor Auditorium for BBA IV Semester students. The session was conducted with the objective of providing students with practical insights into the structure, strategies, and career opportunities within the investment banking sector.

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Maheshwar Narayanan, an industry expert, who shared his professional knowledge and real-world experience in the field of investment banking. The session focused on the strategic role of investment banks in capital markets, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPOs), financial restructuring, and advisory services. Mr. Narayanan explained how strategic planning, risk assessment, market analysis, and regulatory compliance form the backbone of successful investment banking operations.

Through illustrative examples and interactive discussion, students gained a clearer understanding of how investment banking strategies are formulated and executed in response to market dynamics and client requirements. The resource person also highlighted essential skills required for aspiring investment bankers, such as financial analysis, decision-making ability, ethical practices, and adaptability to global financial trends.

The lecture encouraged students to explore career pathways in investment banking and related financial services.
