Site Visit to Residential Building

 

Students visited an active residential construction site on the St. Francis College campus to gain practical exposure to building processes and interior execution methods. During the session, they observed various stages of construction, including building layouts, structural components, and wall finishes. The visit focused on how design drawings are translated into actual site execution, covering details such as electrical points, plumbing arrangements, and stone cladding.

This activity helped students connect classroom theories with real-time practices, specifically regarding the selection and application of materials in residential spaces. The experience strengthened their foundational knowledge of structural elements and functional layouts in residential design.
