The Art of Videography with Aprameya Krishna

The Department of Journalism organized a guest lecture on “Videography” on March 17 at 11:00 AM in the Seminar Hall. The session was delivered by Aprameya Krishna, a professional photographer known for his expertise in visual storytelling and creative media.

The lecture witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 60–80 students across all streams and departments, including students from Arts, Science, and Commerce. The session aimed to provide practical exposure and insights into videography, photography, and modern visual storytelling techniques relevant to diverse academic backgrounds.

Mr. Aprameya Krishna shared his professional journey and real-time industry experiences, offering valuable knowledge on key aspects such as framing, lighting, composition, camera techniques, and storytelling through visuals. He emphasized the growing importance of digital media skills across all fields and encouraged students to integrate creativity into their academic and professional pursuits.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and raising questions related to career opportunities, freelancing, content creation, and the latest trends in media production. The speaker motivated students to explore their creative potential and highlighted the importance of continuous learning and practical exposure.

The event was coordinated by Mr. Albert Fidelis, with guidance from the Head of the Department Ms. Usha Lakshman. The program concluded successfully, providing valuable interdisciplinary learning and leaving students inspired to explore the field of videography and visual communication.
