The Gender Sensitization Club organised a seminar titled “Creating an Inclusive Campus: Respect, Equality and Belonging” on 28 August 2026 at the 4th Floor Seminar Hall. The session aimed to create awareness among students about gender equality, mutual respect, inclusivity, and the importance of fostering a safe and supportive campus environment.

The session was led by Mrs. Sheba Suchitra, Counselling Psychologist and Founder of Mindinfinity, who addressed students on the significance of gender sensitivity and respectful interpersonal behaviour. The resource person highlighted the importance of understanding individual differences, challenging stereotypes, promoting equality, and creating an environment where every individual feels valued and respected.

The session also focused on recognising discriminatory behaviour and the role students can play in promoting inclusiveness in their academic and social environments. Students were encouraged to develop empathy, communicate respectfully, and contribute towards building a campus culture based on respect, equality, dignity and belonging.

The seminar provided students with meaningful insights into gender-sensitive behaviour and the importance of maintaining healthy and respectful interactions on campus. The programme concluded with a note of appreciation to the resource person, organisers, faculty members, and students for their participation and support.
