Turncoat Competition – Enhancing Critical Thinking and Public Speaking Skills


The PG Department of Commerce, St. Francis College, Bengaluru, organized a Turncoat Competition for M.Com students on 22nd June 2026 as an IQAC initiative. The event aimed to enhance students' critical thinking, spontaneous speaking, and communication skills by challenging participants to present arguments both in Favor of and against a given topic.

ACHIEVERS’ DAY 2026 By UNICORN SQUAD


St. Francis College hosted Achievers’ Day 2026 on 14/05/2026 at Heritage Hall, organized by The Unicorn Squad. The event celebrated Centum Holders, event prize winners, volunteers, and event heads for their outstanding achievements and contributions. The programme also featured the announcement of the Best Commerce Class 2026, recognizing excellence, teamwork, and active participation among students.

Best Manager organized by the Unicorn Squad


The Best Manager event was organized by the Unicorn Squad of St. Francis College, Bengaluru, with the aim of identifying and nurturing managerial talent among students. The event provided a competitive platform for participants to demonstrate their analytical, communication, and leadership skills in a structured and practical environment.

Turn Court organized by the Unicorn Squad


The Department of Commerce, under the Unicorn Squad, successfully organized the “Turn Court” event on 5th May 2026 . The event witnessed the active participation of 12 students from the B.Com Department.

Community Engagement


The M.Com Department organized a Community Engagement Program at Samarthanam High School on 8th March 2026. M.Com students conducted fun and interactive activities for school children, promoting teamwork, confidence, and social bonding while gaining valuable leadership and communication skills.

Battle of Bidders IPL Auction simulation


The Battle of Bidders event was held on 18th & 19th February 2026 as an interclass IPL-style auction activity, combining quiz and live bidding rounds to enhance students’ knowledge, strategic thinking, and teamwork through an engaging and competitive learning experience.

Commerce Success Summit 2026


A Career Guidance Program was organized to create career awareness and enhance students’ confidence and professional skills in commerce and finance. The event included motivational and technical sessions on confidence building, accounting, calculator mastery, and career opportunities in ACCA and finance. Resource persons shared valuable insights to help students prepare for future professional growth. The programme concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks.

Heritage Visit Organized for M.Com students


The M.Com Department organized a heritage visit to Bangalore Palace on 5th December 2025 to provide students with cultural exposure and insights into heritage management. Students explored the palace’s architecture, history, tourism management, and preservation practices, gaining a deeper understanding of cultural heritage, tourism, and its economic significance.

Decathlon Field visit


The M.Com Department organized a field visit to Decathlon on 4th December 2025 to provide students with practical exposure to retail operations, merchandising, and customer service practices. The visit enhanced students’ understanding of retail management and industry applications.

Business Quiz


The Business Quiz was held on 11 November 2025 at 1:15 PM in the 4th Floor Seminar Hall to enhance students’ knowledge of business concepts and analytical skills. The event included Online Quiz, Crossword Puzzle, and the final round Kaun Banega Businesspati, providing an engaging and competitive learning experience. The programme promoted teamwork, business awareness, and confidence among students through an interactive quiz format.

M.Com Orientation Program & Fresher’s Day 2025


The Orientation Program and Fresher’s Day for the M.Com students were conducted jointly on 25th October 2025 by the M.Com Department along with the M.Com second-year students.

60 Second Hustle


The 60 Second Hustle – Minute to Sell It event was held on 13/10/2025 with the objective of enhancing students’ communication, persuasion, and critical thinking skills through a time-bound selling challenge. The event bridged the gap between theoretical marketing concepts and practical application by engaging students in real-time selling scenarios.

Investiture Ceremony-Unicorn Squad


The Unicorn Squad 2025–26 Investiture Ceremony was held on 26 September 2025 at St. Francis PU College Auditorium to formally induct new student leaders. The event included badge pinning, oath-taking, and inspiring addresses, marking the beginning of a new year of leadership and student activities.

Workshop - Learn to Earn


A team-building activity was organized on 25th September 2025 for 8 M.Com students to enhance collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. The activity focused on building trust, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving abilities through interactive participation. The program encouraged teamwork, boosted confidence and morale, and helped create a supportive and cooperative group environment.
