(Quiz –Inter Class Competition)

Learning Objective : To encourage students to look beyond textual knowledge and establish a relationship between theory and application of learnt concepts.

Learning Outcome : To apply the various skills and knowledge in professional life to succeed.

To begin with, the Programme opened with an invocation song sung by MsRashmitha M (MBA) to lift the spirits of the event. After the invocation song,Mr Syed Shahid Ahmed welcomed the gathering with his vibrant welcome speech. Then the quiz masters (Yogesh M, Sahana b C)took over the stage to explain the rules and regulations of the quiz to the contestants.

Once the contestants settled in, the competition began. There were 12 teams from MBA and 6 teams from MCA for the first round. The first round consisted of word puzzles. The contestants had to guess the word through picture clues presented, within 15 seconds. The MBA students had words related to management whereas the MCA students had words related to computer applications. Each team had a series of questions. After answering to the first round, two teams from both MBA and MCA qualified for the final round. So there were total of four teams participating in the final round.

The final round consisted of the questions related to organization’s tagline, organization’sCEO , Advertisement guessingetc, to be answered within 15 seconds. The four teams competed at each other and finally three teams were declared winners, one from MBA and two from MCA.

The event was very participative and fun for both the contestants and the audience. The quiz was effective as it tried to bridge the gap between theory learnt in the classroom and practical happening’s in the outside world.The event ended with Vote of Thanks given by Mr.Syed Shahid Ahmed.

To conclude the competition was a great success and built a sense of competitiveness among the students to thrive and reach newer heights.
