Objective: 1) To raise an awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and second hand smoke exposure, and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form”.

Outcome: 1) Students have understood the effects of consumption of tobacco on health.
2) Target audience realized the effects of being expose to second-hand smoke.
3) Students ensured that they will sensitize others to avoid consumption of tobacco.

National Cadet Corps committee of St. Francis Institutions, Koramangala has organised “World No Tobacco Day” on 31 st May 2022 in association with National Service Scheme. The gathering taken place towards an awareness how tobacco affects health & environment. The program started at 10:00 AM.

The event was conducted to all NCC cadets, NSS volunteers & students of St. Francis Institutions. There were total 70 NCC cadets, 40 NSS volunteers, 3 ANOs, 30 Teaching Staffs and 200 high school students. The event was coordinated by ANO C/T Amaregouda, NSS Coordinator Dr. Lathif Ahamed. B, other faculty members of NCC committee Mr. Sachin S Nayak and Mr. Vishlesh.

NCC cadets performed a skit on harmful effects of tobacco on health. Later everyone took oath to not to use tobacco. Finally, Bro. Antony - Director, St. Francis College has delivered guest speech. After this, all NCC & NSS volunteers have participated in rally with placards to raise awareness in public. Program successfully completed at 12:00PM.
