Objectives:
The main objective of this programme was “to create awareness and action for the
protection of environment”.
Outcomes:
● Students promised to take care of environment, endangered species and
encourage others too for the same.
● Students ensured that they will participate voluntarily in cleaning activities, not
to use plastic and develop passion to plant trees and take care of them.
The event was conducted to all NCC Cadets, NSS, Civil Defence & Youth Red
Cross volunteers of St. Francis Institution. There were total 120 volunteers. The event
was co-ordinated by program officers of respective committees.
All volunteers have assembled at Madiwala Lake in the morning, conducted
cleaning and plastic waste collection in and outside of the lake and collected more
than 35kg plastic waste and handed over it to NGO. All Staff and volunteers went to
Mount Carmel School, Naganathapura for plantation and planted more than 20 trees.
Later everyone have attended Seed ball making program organised with the
association of BMSSS NGO’s. Prepared and handed over it to same NGOs. All NCC
cadets went for Cyclothon event which was organised by Karanataka State Pollution
Control Board.
