Objective:
The main objective of this programme was “to strengthen action and cooperation to
achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse”.
Outcomes:
● Students understood the adverse effects of Drugs usage on physical & mental
health.
● Students came to know the laws related to drugs.
The event was conducted to all students of St. Francis College. There were total
30 NCC cadets, 02 ANOs, 80 volunteers, 30 Staff and 150 students. The event was
coordinated by NCC, NSS & Civil Defence committees.
All volunteers have participated in awareness rally which started at 12:30PM
from St. Francis College to Koramangala signal to Wipro Park, Koramangala. All the
students, volunteers & staffs assembled in quadrangle for the guest lecture. Shri. V.
L. Hambar, Former Deputy Drug Controller, Bengaluru took over the session on
types of drugs, Drug abuse in different countries, effects of drugs usage on physical
& mental health, production and illicit trafficking, laws for drugs etc.
Director Bro. Antony, Deputy Director Bro. Peter, Principal Dr. R. N. Subba Rao,
NCC ANOs, NSS & Civil Defense Program Officers and other staff were present in
this program.
