A guest lecture was organized on 30th November, 2021 for the 1st semester B. Com (A&F) A and B section students. The objective of the session was to increase the self-awareness - the strengths, weaknesses, potentials, etc of the students. Above all, to build a strong Personality to set themselves apart.

Prof. Rishikesh KB was the resource person for the session. He is currently pursuing Ph.D, works as faculty at CHRIST University. Bangalore, and is a visiting faculty at School of Management Studies, NIT Calicut, and co teaches at Australian Catholic University, Sydney, Australia.

The session began at 10:45am in the seminar hall. Sakshi from 1st B. Com (A&F) B section was the emcee for the entire session. Ms. Nikhitha S Thomas, Assistant Professor from the Department of Commerce welcomed the Chief Guest and the dignitaries. Mushfiqua from 1st B. Com (A&F) B section introduced the resource person to the audience. On behalf of the College, the head of the department of Commerce Prof. Santhosh addressed the gathering and also gave a sapling to the resource person as a token of gratitude.

Prof. Rishikesh KB started off by explaining the two significant changes in the economy that is Industry 4.0 and Covid pandemic. He pointed out the importance of finding out once passion and transforming it into a career. He then related it to IKIGAI, a book authored by Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles. IKIGAI talks about the Japanese secret to a long and happy life. It revolves around the identification of once passion, mission, vocation and there by identifying your profession. He also explained how students can find whether their passion is employable or not. At the end there was a Q&A session were students raised their questions. Followed by the vote of thanks by Sultana from 1st B. Com (A&F) B section.

The session ended at 12:45am. It was a very interesting and informative session. All the students participated with great zeal.
