Objectives:
• To create awareness among students of dehumanizing effect of ragging.
• To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.

Learning outcome: 
• To prohibit any sort of physical or verbal abusing which cause psychological harm, frustration and anxiety among any students.
• To promptly and stringently deal with the incidents of ragging brought to our notice.

An Advocate of B.PAC and also an expert on Constitutional Law & Parliamentary Procedure and Real Estate Laws.

REPORT
Anti-Ragging Cell, conducted a Webinar on “Ragging: A Social Evil” on 18th January 2022 at 2:30 PM.

Keeping in mind the objective of creating awareness among students of dehumanizing effect of ragging. The webinar was hosted on ZOOM PLATFORM.

The event was organised and conducted under the stewardship of Mr. Sathish Kumar T, Committee coordinator. Mr. Venkatesh , Ms. Deepa and Mr. Gunashekar, student coordinator were the convenors of the webinar.

Mr. N. Harish, the speaker traced the roots of ragging and its evil impact on the students. He also threw light on laws which prohibit and punish ragging.

Since the event was conducted online, an invitation was sent in all the class whats app groups to facilitate the communication with the participants. The program was conducted on the ZOOM Platform.

The initiative taken by the Committee helped the Faculty members, Non-Teaching staff and students to keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence. Participants were also able to ask questions and suggestions related to the topic.

A feedback link was sent to the participants during the webinar. Positive feedback was received from the participants.  Participants have expressed their interest in participating in more of such events in the near future.
