The Department of Kannada at St. Francis Degree College organized the “Aprathima Mukaveene Kalapradarshana Program” on 15 April 2026. Featuring renowned artist Shri Mukaveena Anjinappa, the event showcased captivating folk performances, including the unique Jalaveena rendition. With around 400 students in attendance, the program was successfully conducted with the support of faculty and Chinnudi Kannada Sangha, making it a memorable cultural experience.
The Kannada Department and Chinnudi Kannada Sangha, in association with IQAC, organized a Drama Writing Competition on 22 April 2026. With 31 undergraduate participants, the event encouraged creativity in Kannada drama writing and was successfully conducted under the guidance of faculty and coordinators.

St. Francis College, Koramangala, in collaboration with the People’s Research Association (PRA), organized a National Multilingual Conference on 6 February 2026 on the theme “Emerging Trends in Language, Literature and Culture.” The event featured eminent chief guests and keynote speakers who shared valuable insights on evolving trends in language, literature, and culture, making it an enriching academic gathering.

The Kannada Department of St. Francis College organized the oath-taking ceremony of Chinnudi Kannada Sangha (2025–2026) and launched the Kalasangama Kannada newspaper on 15 September. The event included the swearing-in of office bearers and the official release of the newspaper, making it a successful and inspiring occasion.
An essay writing competition on “Rajyothsava Mahatva” was held at St. Francis College on 29 September 2025 as part of Kannada Rajyothsava celebrations. With 44 enthusiastic participants, the event was successfully conducted under the guidance of faculty and coordinators, encouraging students’ literary skills and cultural awareness.
A State Level Poetry Writing Competition was organized on 12 November 2025 at the College Quadrangle by the Department of Kannada and Chinnudi Kannada Sangha. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the state, showcasing creativity and expressive writing. Entries were evaluated on originality and impact, and winners were honored with certificates and prizes during the valedictory session.
The Karnataka Rajyotsava Celebration – Veshabhushana Sparde (Fancy Dress Competition) was held on 12 November 2025 at the College Quadrangle, organized by the Department of Kannada and Chinnudi Kannada Sangha. The event celebrated Karnataka’s rich culture and heritage, with students creatively portraying famous personalities and traditional figures through vibrant costumes and performances.
On 13 October 2025, the Department of Kannada at St. Francis Degree College organized a documentary screening and interactive guest lecture on the life of Rev. Ferdinand Kittel. Featuring filmmaker Prashanth Pandit, the event included an engaging documentary and discussion session. With around 300 students in attendance, the program was successfully conducted and proved to be informative and enriching.
The Department of Languages, St. Francis College, organized a 3-day educational trip to Kodagu from 4–6 December 2025. With 40 students and 5 faculty members, the trip covered Kushalnagar, Dubare Elephant Camp, Madikeri, and Mugilpete, offering a blend of learning, cultural exposure, and exploration.
The Department of Languages of St Francis College celebrated Achievers’ Day on May 12, 2026, honoring students and faculty for their academic and literary achievements. The event featured the release of English and Kannada Newsletters, a Kannada Poetry Book, and a prize distribution ceremony recognizing excellence in various literary competitions and activities.
