Creative Beginnings 2026–2027: Freshers Orientation and Induction Programme

The Department of BA and BVA (Animation & Game Arts) successfully organized "Creative Beginnings 2026–2027: Freshers' Orientation and Induction Programme" on 1 July 2026 to warmly welcome the newly admitted students into the academic community. The programme was designed to familiarize freshers with the institution's vision, academic structure, departmental activities, and campus culture, while encouraging them to embark on their educational journey with confidence and enthusiasm.

INNOPRESENT PAPER PRESENTATION COMPETITION

The Department of Journalism organized the Innopresent Paper Presentation Competition on 23 April 2026 for BA and BSc PJC students. With 30 participants, the event promoted research, critical thinking, and presentation skills. Roshni Janet secured first place, followed by Adithyan and Puja.

The Art of Videography with Aprameya Krishna

The Department of Journalism organized a guest lecture on “Videography” on 17 March at 11:00 AM in the Seminar Hall. Aprameya Krishna shared insights on visual storytelling, camera techniques, and digital media trends. The interactive session engaged 60–80 students and inspired them to explore creative media and videography.

Guest Lecture on Union Budget 2026–27: Fiscal Choices and India’s Growth Path

The Department of Economics, under the Arthashastra Club in association with IQAC, organized a guest lecture on “Union Budget 2026–27: Fiscal Choices and India’s Growth Path” on 17 February 2026 at the Heritage Hall. Dr. Mangala T highlighted key aspects of the budget, including taxation, government spending, fiscal deficit, and growth strategies. The session provided insights into fiscal policy and its impact on the economy, followed by an interactive discussion with students.

Golden Argonaut – Intra-College Treasure Hunt Contest

The Department of Economics organized “Golden Argonaut – The Navigator’s Secret” on 13 February 2026 at the Quadrangle. Students participated in teams, solving clues across campus, promoting teamwork and problem-solving skills. The event concluded successfully with winners receiving cash prizes and a vote of thanks.

Club Inauguration for the Academic Year 2025–26

The inauguration of the BA & BVA Club for the academic year 2025–2026 was held on 28 August 2025 in Room No. 610. The event commenced with a welcome address by Lia Mathew (II Year BVA). The Masters of Ceremony were Andrew Uparegh (II Year BA) and Sonu Krithika (III Year BA).

GST 2.0 with Next Generation Reforms

A debate competition on "GST 2.0 Reform" was successfully conducted on 18 September 2025. The event began with a welcome speech by the student coordinator, Reema Rose, who introduced the participants, audience, and judges, and explained the rules and evaluation criteria.
