Guest Lecture on Fake News and Media Literacy


The Department of Journalism of St. Francis College organised a guest lecture on “Fake News and Media Literacy” on 13th May 2026. The session, led by Sethulekshmi MS from The Times of India, created awareness about fake news, media literacy, fact-checking, and responsible media consumption. Students actively participated in discussions on journalism ethics and the impact of misinformation in the digital age.

Short Film to Pen


The Department of Journalism of St. Francis College organised “Short Film to Pen” on 15th April 2026 to improve students’ reporting and analytical skills. Students watched the short film Umbrella and prepared a report based on their observations and interpretation, encouraging critical thinking and journalistic writing skills.
