A guest lecture on “Freedom of Speech vs Hate Speech” was conducted on 17-04-2026 at the 4th Floor Seminar Hall, where students from various departments actively participated and benefited from the session. The lecture was delivered by Ajay Kumar, an entrepreneur and lawyer, who provided valuable insights into the boundaries between freedom of expression and hate speech in today’s digital environment.

During the session, he explained the legal responsibilities of individuals while using social media platforms, highlighting what types of content are appropriate to like, comment on, and share, and what actions may lead to legal consequences if misused. The lecture also created awareness about cyber laws and the importance of verifying information before sharing content online.

The session helped students understand the importance of responsible digital behavior and respecting others’ rights while expressing opinions on public platforms.
