 The Anti-Drug Cell and Civil Defence Unit of St. Francis College, Koramangala jointly organized a guest lecture on “Impact of Drug Addiction on Youth” on October 27, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The session was held in the 4th Floor Seminar Hall of the college.

The guest speaker, Dr. Mirza Md. Ismail, Officer Commanding, Training Service, addressed the gathering and delivered an insightful lecture on the growing menace of drug abuse among today’s youth. He emphasized the psychological, social, and physical consequences of addiction and discussed the importance of awareness, early intervention, and peer support in combating this issue.

Dr. Ismail also highlighted the crucial role that educational institutions and youth organizations play in fostering a drug-free environment. The interactive session allowed students to raise questions and share their perspectives, leading to an engaging and thought-provoking discussion.

The lecture concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating Dr. Ismail’s valuable time and contribution. The event was informative and inspiring, reinforcing the collective responsibility of students and faculty in promoting a healthy, drug-free campus.
