Women Grievance and Redressal Committee (WGRC)
The Women Grievance and Redressal Committee (WGRC) is established in our college to provide safe, supportive, and empowering environment for all female students, staff, and faculty members. The committee aims to address any grievances or concerns related to gender discrimination, harassment, or any form of misconduct, ensuring that every woman is treated with dignity and respect within the college premises.

• Safeguarding the rights of girl students, female teaching and non-teaching staff.
Mission:
• To equip girl students, teaching and non-teaching women staff with the knowledge of their legal rights and redressal of grievances.
• To provide a platform for listening to complaints.
• To ensure healthy atmosphere in and around the college.
Objectives of WGRC:
• To resolve issues pertaining to girl students / women teaching or non –teaching staff.
• To provide confidential and supportive environment and to ensure the fair and timely redressal of harassment or any other complaints.
• To provide information regarding counseling and promote awareness about harassment issue through initiatives that encourage respectful and safe campus environment.
• Providing necessary counseling services.
Functions of WGRC:
• • To safeguard the rights of female students, women faculty and other women staff.
• To provide a platform for listening to complaints.
• The Committee also tries to incorporate hygiene habits and ensures a healthy atmosphere in and around the college.
Procedure:
1.Filing a Complaint: Any girl student, women staff can file a complaint through the portal of WGRC.
2.Preliminary Inquiry: The WGRC shall conduct a preliminary inquiry to ascertain the facts of the case.
3. Steps to resolve: The small issues will be resolved by the members of the WGRC. In case if it is not resolved, the issue will be taken to the convener of the WGRC and the management.
4. Action Taken: The convener of the WGRC, after consulting the management shall recommend appropriate action to resolve the issues.
7. Follow-up: The WGRC shall monitor the implementation of the recommended action to be implemented.
Time Line:
• Preliminary Inquiry: 1 working day
• Inquiry Committee Report: 2 working days
• WGRC Recommendation: 3 working days
• Action Taken: 5 working days
Confidentiality:
• The WGRC shall maintain confidentiality throughout the process.
• The identity of the complainant shall not be disclosed without her consent.
Review:
• The WGRC shall review its procedures annually and suggest amendments as necessary.
