Women's Cell at St. Francis is an organisation that is dedicated to addressing issues related to women’s rights, empowerment, and gender equality. Women's Cell aims to provide a supportive environment where women can voice their concerns, seek assistance, and promote gender justice.
Vision:
To foster a society where women are valued equally and are free from discrimination, violence, and stereotypes.
They are educated and empowered to lead an independent life.
Mission:
To promote the well-being of women through education, awareness campaigns, support services, and advocacy for their rights. We aim to create an environment where women feel safe, respected, and have equal opportunities in all spheres of life.
Key Functions of a Women's Cell:
1. Support and Counselling: Providing support to women who may face discrimination, harassment, or violence.
2. Awareness Programs: Conducting workshops and seminars to raise awareness about women’s rights, health, legal aid, etc.
3. Safety and Security: Addressing issues related to the safety of women, creating a secure environment.
4. Advocacy for Gender Equality: Advocating for policies and practices that ensure gender equality in all areas.
5. Empowerment Initiatives: Running programs that encourage women's participation in various fields, including leadership, education, and entrepreneurship.
