Objectives:

The objective of the IoT value-added course is to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, its applications, and how to create value-added services and solutions within this domain. This course aims to equip learners with specialized knowledge and skills to innovate and differentiate their IoT offerings in the market.

The objective of the cloud computing using AWS add-on course is to provide participants with practical skills and knowledge to leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) for building, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions. This course aims to empower learners with the capabilities to effectively utilize AWS services for various computing, storage, networking, and security requirements.

Outcomes:

IoT

  1. Understand the broader context and potential impact of IoT technologies across various industries and sectors.
  2. Identify opportunities to create value-added services and solutions leveraging IoT technologies.
  3. Gain insights into emerging trends, standards, and best practices in the IoT ecosystem.
  4. Develop skills in designing and implementing innovative IoT solutions tailored to specific use cases and business requirements.

AWS
  1. Understand the core concepts and principles of cloud computing and the benefits of adopting cloud services.
  2. Gain proficiency in using AWS services for compute, storage, databases, networking, and security.
  3. Learn how to deploy and manage applications, workloads, and infrastructure on the AWS cloud platform.
  4. Develop skills in designing scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud architectures using AWS services.

Introduction:

The orientation program on Internet of Things (IoT) and AWS Cloud Computing for IV semester students commenced at 1:30 PM with an introduction by Ms. Shreya, the emcee for the event. Ms. Jennifer Shallot led the prayer, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Mandira. Ms. Sabitha, Head of the department welcomed the resource persons with saplings.

Resource Person's Profile Reading:

Ms. Suha Imdad presented the profile of the resource persons, Mr. Muhammed Mubashir, AWS Developer & Faculty at Techbyheart, and Ms. Deeptha, Developer and AWS Cloud Engineer at Techbyheart. Their extensive experience and expertise in the field set the stage for an insightful session.

Session 1: AWS Cloud Computing

The first session, focusing on AWS cloud computing, was conducted by Mr. Muhammed Mubashir and Ms. Deeptha from Techbyheart. They shared their knowledge and insights on AWS cloud services, covering various topics such as cloud infrastructure, deployment models, and key AWS services. The session was highly engaging and provided students with valuable insights into the practical applications of cloud computing.

Session 2: Internet of Things (IoT)

Following the AWS session, Mr. Shahsad, a Robotics Engineer and Tinkering Lab faculty member, conducted the session on Internet of Things (IoT). He discussed the fundamentals of IoT, including sensor networks, data analytics, and real-world applications. Mr. Shahsad's interactive presentation captivated the audience and sparked their interest in the rapidly evolving field of IoT.

Vote of Thanks:

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Abhishek A, representing IV BCA B. He expressed gratitude to the resource persons for sharing their expertise, the department for organizing the informative orientation, and all attendees for their active participation.

Overall, the orientation on Internet of Things and AWS Cloud Computing proved to be a valuable learning experience for IV semester students, providing them with insights into cutting-edge technologies and their potential applications in the field of computer science.
